Santa Barbara’s most architectural buildings include the old Hotel Virginia, El Pueblo Viejo district and the Old Mission towers. The County Courthouse depicts beautiful art, while the he clock tower and observation deck give a scenic view over Santa Barbara. The Lobero theatre, constructed in 1873, still hosts the area’s main performances. The theatre was rebuilt by George Washington Smith in the 1920’s. These structures are great examples of how well Santa Barbara’s history was preserved thanks to the founder’s planning.
