Kenny Slaught States Future Of Gates Foundation GCE Grant Program And Benefits

As noted by Kenny Slaught, the Grand Challenges Explorations (GCE) funds individuals internationally to explore ideas that can revolutionize how the humanity approaches persistent global health and development issues. GCE is a $100 million initiative funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and was launched in 2008. More than 1,186 projects in over 61 countries have been awarded GCE grants. Anyone from any organization are encouraged to apply for the GCE grant initiative. There is a fast two-page online application and no introductory data required. Initial grants of $100,000 are awarded twice annually. A successful project has the ability to receive a follow-up grant, up to $1 million.
