Kenny Slaught Believes The Hype Surrounding Santa Barbara

City developers set up controls to stop Spanish influenced buildings from being demolished starting with 1925. Santa Barbara was the first city in the country to preserve its architecture. Rules were implemented to keep intact unique buildings and parks, and protection for historical landmarks was set in place in 1960.
